We’ve been in Iraq for 5 years now. Yesterday, the 4,000 mark was passed for US soldiers killed in Iraq. Were you aware that 97% of those came after George W. Bush declared “Mission Accomplished”? If you oppose the war (2/3 of Americans do), Dick Cheney essentially says “Fuck you”. This is from Good Morning America.
It’s really his smirk that gets me. If a family member or friend of mine was killed in Iraq, I would have a hard time believing he is compassionate for the loss of life.
The interesting thing is that Cheney has known all along what would happen in Iraq. He used the scenerio that is taking place as the reason the first Bush Administration did not go into Baghdad. It has happened exactly as he predicted in 1994.
